The Vintage Hand Carved Nicaraguan Vase forms part of The Arc's Found & Vintage collection of discovered treasures. Most likely from the village of San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua. This village of nearly 6,000 people sits upon deep deposits of clay that were laid down by volcanic activity in the distant past. San Juan is well known for its handcrafted art and has been a pottery center since pre-Colombian times. This particular vase is a lovely example of Nicaraguan techniques.
